MClimate CO2 Sensor & Notifier
MC-LW-CO2-01-BI
A Ready For Anything® building block for Niagara-based, demand-driven indoor air quality control
Make indoor air quality visible — and actionable.
MC-LW-CO2-01-BI is a LoRaWAN® CO₂ sensor designed to give buildings reliable, room-level insight into air quality, enabling smarter ventilation, healthier spaces, and more efficient operation without complex wiring.
The problem this product exists to solve
In many buildings, ventilation is still controlled by fixed schedules or assumptions rather than actual indoor conditions.
This results in poor air quality during occupancy peaks, unnecessary energy use when spaces are empty, and systems that are difficult to optimise after handover.
The issue isn’t ventilation technology. It’s the lack of scalable, reliable CO₂ data that can be integrated into the systems operators already use.
When this problem is addressed properly, buildings become healthier, more efficient, and far easier to manage over time.
For Niagara-based systems, MC-LW-CO2-01-BI can be integrated using Innon’s LoRaWAN driver for Niagara, allowing CO₂ concentration, temperature, humidity, and battery status to be exposed cleanly as native Niagara points.
- Demand-controlled ventilation strategies
- Consistent point models across rooms and sites
- Cleaner handover and long-term operability

What makes this product different
Many CO₂ sensors provide data, but never influence how a building actually operates.
- Designed for control, not just monitoring: CO₂ data can directly drive ventilation strategies.
- Retrofit-friendly: wireless deployment avoids disruption and cost.
- System-first approach: built to integrate cleanly into Niagara, not sit in a standalone dashboard.
- Long-life operation: battery-powered design supports multi-year deployments.
Typical applications (where CO₂ insight delivers real value)
- Demand-controlled ventilation: increase airflow only when CO₂ levels rise.
- Offices and meeting rooms: improve comfort and cognitive performance.
- Schools and education buildings: support healthier learning environments.
- Healthcare and public buildings: maintain air quality without over-ventilation.
- Energy optimisation: reduce unnecessary ventilation energy when spaces are lightly used.
How this fits into a Ready For Anything® Niagara + LoRaWAN solution
On its own, MC-LW-CO2-01-BI provides reliable indoor air quality data.
When integrated into a Niagara-based LoRaWAN architecture, it becomes a key building block in a Ready For Anything® ventilation and wellbeing solution.
In a typical RFA setup:
- The CO₂ sensor measures real occupancy impact on air quality.
- Niagara applies logic, thresholds, and schedules.
- Ventilation responds dynamically instead of running blindly.
- Operators gain long-term visibility without increasing system complexity.
This approach avoids over-ventilation, improves occupant wellbeing, and keeps systems usable long after commissioning.
From good systems to great outcomes
Many buildings ventilate based on assumptions.
Used properly, MC-LW-CO2-01-BI enables:
- Healthier indoor environments
- Lower ventilation energy consumption
- Clear evidence-based optimisation
- Stronger handover and operational confidence
